Leslie has proudly served families at our funeral home since 2013. After graduating from Greensburg Community High School in 1999 she attended Mid-America College of Funeral Service and graduated in 2001. Upon completion of her internship at Pasco Memorial Mortuary in November 2002, she served as an embalmer at Moster and Cox Mortuary in Rushville, Indiana, and began her career with our team in 2003 as funeral director, embalmer and insurance agent.
Leslie has served with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Decatur County, the Greensburg Out of the Darkness Walk, St. Mary’s Catholic School and North Decatur School, Reality Store for Greensburg Schools, Decatur County Community Hospital, Bread of Life, VFW Ladies Auxiliary 5584, Community Action Coalition, Tri Kappa Sorority, Greensburg Lion’s Club, Greensburg Jaycees, Greensburg Prevention Group and The Alma Taylor Foundation. Leslie is the recipient of multiple awards recognizing her dedication to service excellence within her profession.
A dedicated wife and mother, Leslie got married in 2005. She and her husband have three children who keep them busy with school, sports and family outings. Leslie is an accomplished photographer and also enjoys the outdoors, art and social media.
Carl J Hellmich
Carl is a lifelong resident of Greensburg, graduating from Greensburg High School in 1957. He began working at our funeral home in 1968 while he went to school at Indiana College of Mortuary Science. After completing his internship in 1970 and graduating in 1971, Carl continued his employment here as a funeral director and embalmer. Managing for 5 years before his retirement in 2004, Carl continues to work when needed and enjoys visiting with families.
Carl is an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus in Greensburg. Carl married his high school sweetheart in September 1959 and they have 3 sons and 6 grandchildren. They enjoy spending the winter months in Florida.
Braiden B Ryle
Braiden was born in Greensburg, Indiana, where he has lived his entire life. His first job was at McDonald’s in Greensburg, beginning at the age of 15 and eventually becoming a certified restaurant manager, working throughout his schooling.
Braiden is a 2007 graduate of Greensburg Community High School and a 2009 graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, where he received a Charles O. Dhonau outstanding achievement award. After college, he began his internship at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home where he is currently a funeral director.
Braiden currently serves on the board for the Art Council in Decatur County and as board member and vice president of Decatur County Remembers. He is a member of New Beginnings Church in Greensburg and a reserve deputy on the Decatur County Sheriff’s Department.
In 2011 Braiden married his girlfriend of nearly 7 years, and together they purchased a home in Greensburg. They have 2 dogs, Baili and Zoe, and had their first child in July 2017. Braiden loves his small, hometown life and in his spare time enjoys walking through town with his wife, traveling and exploring new places and meeting new people.
