James started his funeral service career in 1984 in his hometown of Grants Pass, Oregon, and has been with Dignity Memorial since 2003. In 1988 Jim earned his degree in mortuary science at Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham, Oregon.
Jim's service to his community includes being a charter member of the Columbia Gorge Kiwanis Club. Since 1993 Jim has been an active member of One More Time Around Again Marching Band, which performs with the Portland Rose Festival in annual community activities.
Robert B Cafferky
Robert Cafferky has served families in the Portland, Oregon, area for more than 3 decades. In 1977 Bob earned his bachelor‘s degree in religion at La Sierra College in Riverside, California. In 1986 he received his degree in mortuary science at Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham, Oregon. Outside of work, Bob enjoys sports (especially water sports), music, church and family time.
Daniel T. Silva
After serving in the U.S. Navy, Dan Silva returned home to Portland and enrolled at Mt. Hood Community College, graduating with a mortuary science degree in 1983. He has served families from Eugene, St. Helens and, mostly, the local surrounding areas.
Dan is a family guy, who spends much of his time with his wife, 4 daughters, 5 grandchildren and his German shepherd, Sedona. In his free time, he enjoys motorcycle rides, fishing and the outdoors.
Sarah A. Byers
Sarah was born and raised in Portland with her grandparents. Dealing with the loss of her grandparents at a relatively young age sparked the pursuit of a career in funeral services. She went to Mt. Hood Community College and graduated from the funeral services program in 2018. Sarah is thankful to be serving families in her community in such a meaningful way. In her free time she likes to read, hike, play games, spend time with friends, and annoy her 2 cats.
