Since 2010 Charles has provided compassionate care to families in the Hackensack and Secaucus areas. Charles earned his mortuary science degree from Mercer County Community College in 1999. He is proud to be a part of the Dignity Memorial® team, guiding you through one of the most personal times in your life.

David has been a funeral director with Gutterman and Musicant since October 2001. His career in funeral service came about as a shock to his family – as well as himself. A veteran of the US Air Force, he served on active duty from 1985 – 1995. After losing both his parents and a brother, he decided that he did not want to be so far away from his family and made the decision to leave the Air Force. He stayed in the Air Force Reserves and was assigned to the 512 Airlift Wing at Dover AFB as part of the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Division - the Dover Port Mortuary falls under this division. David’s first experience with mortuary affairs was in April 1996, when an airplane crashed resulting in the deaths of 33 American citizens, including the Honorable Ronald H. Brown, Secretary of Commerce. Over the next several years there were many tragic crashes and events that David assisted in, leading to him making the decision to attend American Academy McAllister Institute and ultimately becoming a licensed funeral director.

David volunteers his time at local nursing homes and hospitals with his therapy dog-TikTok. He is a lifetime member of DAV (Disabled American Veterans) and this year attended the Wreaths Across America program where wreaths are laid at the graves of all the fallen at Arlington National Cemetery.

Frederick is a licensed funeral director in the states of New York and New Jersey and has over 3 decades of experience serving the Jewish community. He graduated in 1988 with a degree in mortuary science from Canton College of Technology.

At the age of 13, Frederick lost his grandfather and his experience catapulted him into a career in the funeral industry. Frederick believes in treating other families the way he would like his family to be treated.

When he is not at the funeral home, you will find Frederick volunteering as a Boy Scout leader or as a member of Community Emergency Response Team in his Bergan County neighborhood. Frederick really enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors and tending his gardens.

At the age of 16, Sherry started volunteering at her local Chevra Kadisha in Broward County, FL. And eventually decided to earn her degree and license at Nassau Community College's Mortuary Science Program. She is a licensed funeral director in both New York and New Jersey. 

Her intense passion for Chessed Shel Emet (the Jewish act of Loving Kindness for the Dead) has led her to create educational classes for different Jewish Communities on the importance of what needs to be done when a death happens. To help mitigate the devastating rise of deaths in the Jewish community due to mental illness, she has created educational seminars with Yeshiva University's Wurzweiler School of Social Work and The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Sherry is also an active lifelong member of Hadassah Women's Zionist Organization of America.

In her personal life, she regularly takes her kids on her motorcycle to hike, fish, and explore for fun looking critters and plants in the parks of Rockland County. Sherry's family loves to tease her for her love of all things rainbow, and naming her motorcycle "Frankie” (the name "Yehudis" was outvoted). Her family attends the Chabad of Rockland County.  

A third-generation funeral director and former funeral home owner, Martin has done important work in the funeral business for more than 50 years. He is a certified presenter of Dignity Memorial Smart and Safe Living programs, Escape School and Demystifying the Funeral Service. He is also a past president of the Metropolitan Funeral Directors Association in New York City, where his work was instrumental in establishing the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s electronic death registration system (EDRS). That work led to his representing the National Funeral Directors Association with the Centers for Disease Control to establish the EDRS nationwide.

Active in many community organizations and fundraising projects in New York and New Jersey, Martin is a past deputy grand chancellor of the Order Knights of Pythias in the state of New York; past president of Temple Beth El of the Northern Valley in Closter, New Jersey, where he is presently ritual chair of the congregation; a board member of the Jewish National Fund Northern New Jersey Region; and committee chair for many fraternal and benevolent societies with sites in more than 30 NYC/NJ metro area cemeteries.
