Houston is one of the more diverse and populous areas in Texas, and at Funeraria del Angel, we welcome all families—no matter their background, culture or religion. Our team members are familiar with many funeral traditions and customs and speak both English and Spanish. Houston has a sizeable Latino population, and we specialize in serving the Hispanic community.

We celebrate life

One of our firmest beliefs is that no two funerals should be alike. Each service should be as singular as the person being celebrated.

At Funeraria del Angel, we strive to create meaningful tributes that reflect the personality and passions of the loved one being honored. Our dedicated funeral directors can find inspiration almost anywhere—in a favorite song, hobby or maybe even an iconic style—and turn that inspiration into a memorial or funeral service filled with thoughtful details.

If he made the best barbecued brisket in Texas, we can share the secret family recipe and serve it during a catered reception. If she always dreamed of going into outer space, we can host a space-theme event and transform our chapel into NASA Johnson Space Center.

Of course, the service doesn’t have to be that elaborate. Small personal touches like photos or a custom playlist are easy to incorporate into a more traditional funeral, and we are happy to do that too. You’ll find there’s almost no limit to the special tribute we can create.

Chapels designed to meet your needs

Whether you prefer a small gathering or large event, our funeral home can accommodate services of all types and sizes. Chapel of Remembrance and Chapel of Serenity are peaceful and comforting places for remembering and celebrating loved ones. The nearly identical chapels, with soaring vaulted ceilings, exposed warm-hued wooden beams, floor-to-ceiling stained-glass windows and traditional pews, accommodate 185 guests and 90 guests, respectively.

Within the funeral home facility, there is also a hospitality room with round tables and a kitchen.

We support veterans and public servants

Funeraria del Angel is honored to serve veterans, military families and public servants. Our team members are well-versed in providing military funeral honors and work with all branches of the U.S. armed services. We also recognize the courageous and selfless men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice to keep us safe.

As a participant of the Dignity Memorial® Public Servants Program, we offer dignified and honorable tributes, at no cost, for career and volunteer law enforcement officers, firefighters and emergency services personnel who fall in the line of duty.

Committed to the Houston community

As invested members of the Northside and greater Houston community, the team at Funeraria del Angel is involved in many organizations and initiatives, including the Northside Chamber of Commerce and local veterans organizations. On Veterans Day, we partner with a local VFW Post to provide lunch to our veterans and military members. Continuing our commitment to our nation’s brave men and women, we hold a Public Servants Day luncheon on May 26 at our funeral home.
