History

Ellers Mortuary and Cremation Center was founded in 1924 by Howard W. Ellers.

The Ellers family

When Mr. Ellers passed away in 1952, his sons took over the business, and Mimi, Mr. Ellers' daughter-in-law, managed our funeral home until 1984. After her passing, Philip D. Weaver, Richard Myers and the support staff worked to continue our legacy of care.

Continuing service for Kokomo

In 2016, our funeral home became a part of the Dignity Memorial® network of funeral, cremation and cemetery service providers, allowing us to expand our options and better serve the Kokomo community.
