At D’Elia Funeral Home, we also understand that you may prefer simple services. To better serve your needs, we offer direct cremation and immediate burial with the promise of carrying out those arrangements with the utmost dignity and respect.

We recognize the service of our country's veterans and provide assistance with applications for benefits and military funeral honors.

WHV 2020 - Level 4We honor veterans

At D'Elia Funeral Home, we understand the unique needs of America’s veterans and their families. As a Level Four Founding Community Partner with We Honor Veterans, we are honored to serve our nation’s heroes and take this responsibility seriously. We have taken steps to ensure our staff is knowledgeable of all the benefits available to military veterans and their families.

In addition, we host community events annually in honor of our veterans and work closely with local veterans organizations. With respect, integrity and dignity, we will walk you through the steps of creating a veteran’s memorial service that truly honors the life and sacrifice of your loved one.

Involvement in the Lakewood community

At D'Elia Funeral Home, we remain committed to the Lakewood community and participate in several organizations and activities. We are active in the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce. Through American Legion Post 129, our team has volunteered at the annual Turkey Dinner hosted for veterans who are residents at nursing homes statewide.

Each year, we organize a bus trip to the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Wrightstown, New Jersey, for its annual Memorial Day Service. With New Jersey’s Mission of Honor, we participate in laying holiday wreaths upon the graves of veterans without families. We sponsor an annual Show of Shows program for the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Mary of the Lake Parish, which strives to provide food for those less fortunate. Additionally, our annual Tree of Remembrance ceremony in December helps our families get through the first holiday season after the loss of a loved one.
