Marcus Twain Gipson establishes the firm

Marcus Twain Gipson became a mortician and joined W. M. Glenn Hardware and Furniture Store where he assisted with funerals handled by the firm. In 1934, Marcus acquired the funeral business, renaming it Gipson Funeral Home. In addition to becoming a well respected man of the community, he also built one of the most respected businesses in Angelina County.
