Melissa graduated from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota, in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and forensics. Her original aspirations were to become a coroner, but a move to Arizona led her to a passion for helping families through the loss of a loved one.
Melissa attended Mesa Community College’s mortuary science program and graduated in 2010. While attending mortuary school, she began working for Dignity Memorial®. In 2013 Melissa moved to Washington and was promoted to funeral home location manager the following year. During this time she also completed her master’s degree in forensic science in 2016. Melissa feels her education in forensics has helped her greatly in serving client families.
Melissa truly loves serving families, educating them and guiding them through not only the arrangements and services for their loved ones, but the grief process as well.
