The experienced staff at Elliott Sons Funeral Home is committed to exceeding your expectations and delivering a standard of service that is unmatched in the region. We are here to help you through one of the more personal, emotional and challenging stages of life, guiding you patiently every step of the way. Our foremost goal—whether you are planning a funeral for a loved one or planning ahead for yourself—is to help create a unique and memorable tribute that reflects the special qualities of an individual.
Truly personalized services are a hallmark of Elliott Sons Funeral Home. We'll help you explore favorite music, hobbies, flowers, philosophies and passions to strike just the right note for yourself or your loved one. We can help you with an obituary, arrange displays of photographs and memorabilia, coordinate military honors for veterans, help you choose a monument, organize a processional and more. No request is too small or too large for us to consider. In other words, we celebrate life.
We understand that losing a loved one is a difficult experience. We are committed to helping our families with compassionate, professional and personal service.
A private on-site crematory, which means your loved one never leaves our care. Cremation is important in certain religions and cultures, and more and more people are choosing cremation over more traditional burial options, but most people aren’t familiar with all of their choices when it comes to cremation. You may choose a direct cremation without a funeral or memorial service of any kind; a funeral with the body present, followed by cremation; or a cremation followed by a cemetery service or a celebration of life.

R.E. Elliott Sr. started our funeral home in 1896 and nurtured it until it became one of the largest in the area. His first location was above his furniture store on Broad Street and later moved to 11th and Ellis Street, eventually migrating to Telfair Street.
As the first funeral director in Georgia to use motorized funeral hearses, R.E. was a pioneer in the industry. His profession brought him into contact with families from all over the area and his tenderness endeared him to the hearts of many.
Elliott Sons Funeral Home opened our Columbia Road location in 1994. Crematory services remained at the Telfair Street location and moved to Columbia Road in 2003.
