Personalized funerals and memorials
Carolina Memorial Funeral Home serves families from diverse cultural backgrounds and faith systems. We believe that unique lives deserve unique services, and we strive to design one-of-a-kind memorials that capture the essence of a loved one.
The funeral home is 17,000 square feet and constructed in keeping with Old Charleston architecture, including a non-denominational chapel that accommodates as many as 200 friends and family members.
Carolina Memorial Funeral Home has several spaces for catered receptions—ranging from simple coffee and tea service to light appetizers with wine to a breakfast buffet to a sit-down dinner. Traditional or contemporary, a catered reception allows family and friends to spend time together sharing memories and comfort.
Southern traditions, modern conveniences
Carolina Memorial Funeral Home has an up-to-date look, modern technology and a team with Southern charm and graces. They'll help you write an obituary and create a multimedia tribute to show at your loved one’s service. They can also help you choose just the right flowers—from casket sprays to cemetery bouquets—from our on-site florist, Creative Florals of Charleston.
The funeral home also has an on-site crematory. Not everyone knows that there are many cremation options. If you are interested in cremation, the Carolina Memorial Funeral Home team can explain the process and the different memorial service options. From a direct cremation without a service to a full funeral service before or after the cremation, we can help you understand your options with the increasingly common choice of cremation.

Carolina Memorial Funeral Home and Carolina Memorial Gardens are members of the Dignity Memorial® network of funeral, cremation and cemetery service providers. Through the decades, though times changed, we remain committed to personal and professional service that the people of North Charleston, Charleston County and surrounding communities have come to expect. Please call when you need us.
Carolina Memorial Gardens cemetery
Located on more than 50 pastoral acres, Carolina Memorial Gardens is among the larger cemeteries in South Carolina. We have served families in North Charleston, Charleston County and beyond for more than 60 years. With flowering azaleas, dogwoods and Indian hawthorns, the beautiful, park-like cemetery is a picturesque final resting place.
The well-kept cemetery property offers standard ground-burial options, lawn crypts, garden and chapel mausoleum entombment, private family estates and other permanent memorialization options. We offer cremation gardens and niches, and we have a veterans area called Garden of Valor to honor those who served our country.
Unique cemetery features
Carolina Memorial Gardens includes a lake and a 15-foot white marble fountain from Carrara, Italy, carved in 1859. The red brick Singing Tower is located here and many consider it a historical landmark in North Charleston. We also have many other monuments, such as a statue of praying hands.
Photos tell a great story, but there's nothing like seeing for yourself. We invite you to visit our memorial park on your own or call to set up a guided tour.
We care for North Charleston
The teams at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home and Carolina Memorial Gardens are engaged members of the North Charleston and surrounding communities, hosting funeral planning seminars and memorial events that are open to the public.
We support the Omar Shriners, who work on behalf of burned and physically disabled children, and we help care for Highway 52 through the Adopt-a-Highway program. We sponsor a luncheon for first responders each year, and we partner with The American Legion to hold annual Memorial Day and Veterans Day services to honor veterans. We also participate in Wreaths Across America, which honors fallen veterans.
