For over three decades, as a dually licensed funeral director and embalmer, Frank Matt Way has provided peace and comfort to families at their time of need in the Charleston area. South Carolina born and raised, Matt is a native of Berkeley County who graduated from Spartanburg Methodist College and earned his degree in mortuary science at Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service. Over the years Matt has served on the South Carolina State Board of Funeral Services and currently serves on the Investigative Review Committee for the South Carolina State Board. Matt enjoys giving back to his community and serves as a member of the Carolina Masonic Lodge #375, the Dorchester Shrine Club and the Omar Shrine Temple where he serves as a member of the directors staff. In his spare time Matt enjoys being outdoors and going hunting with his three sons at their local hunting club.
Roger W Rose
In 1973 Roger began working at Brockett Funeral Home in Southampton, New York, as a junior in high school. Roger earned his degree in mortuary science at Canton University and continued to provide peace and comfort to families in the New York area for more than 4 decades.
After his 2 children were married, Roger headed south, continuing his education and becoming a licensed funeral director in the state of Georgia. He was soon additionally licensed in South Carolina, where he served as a licensed insurance agent and had the opportunity to serve families with their pre-planning needs. Roger became a full-time funeral director at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home in 2016 where he serves today.
Roger says of his career, “My goal has always been to be a caring funeral director, meeting the needs of the family faced with the loss of a loved one. I accomplish this by treating each family as if they were part of my family.”
In his spare time Roger enjoys sailing, golfing and motorcycle riding. Upon retiring, Roger plans on spending his summers in Long Island, New York, while enjoying the rest of the year in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina.
