Modern funeral home and services
Our modern funeral home on North Nova Road is a warm and welcoming place to plan a memorial. It includes 2 on-site chapels and more spaces for a catered reception.
At Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, we understand that losing a loved one is a difficult emotional experience. We also know that every life is unique and every family is different. That is why we take the time to ask questions such as: “How did your loved one live? What did she love most? What made him laugh?” Through these conversations, we learn about the individual before helping plan a service.
Whether you seek a cremation with a champagne toast and scattering in the Atlantic Ocean, a traditional funeral with cemetery burial and coffee-and-cake reception, or a creative outdoor celebration complete with favorite foods and personalized mementos, we are here to take care of the details. From a garden party to a golf-themed event, bagpipes to banjos, cupcakes to crab cakes, we will make sure your wishes and the wishes of your loved one are fulfilled.
Not everyone knows that there are many cremation options. If you are interested in cremation, the funeral home team can explain the process and different options. From a direct cremation without a memorial service or a witness cremation to a full funeral service before or after the cremation and more, we help you understand this increasingly common choice—and handle all of the cremation arrangements. If you would like, remains can be inurned at Volusia Memorial Park.
Volusia Memorial Park
Volusia Memorial Park was officially established in the mid-1990s, though gravesites date back to the mid-1960s. Nestled between several golf club parks, city parks and recreation complexes, Volusia Memorial Park Cemetery, located at 550 North Nova Road, is not only beautiful, but offers convenience.
Lush lawns, curving pathways and mature trees heavy with Spanish moss make our cemetery an especially picturesque place. Several years ago when storms damaged some of our trees, we asked an artist to carve the trunks into animal shapes, including an owl, a pair of eagles, a manatee and a trio of pelicans.
Burial options at the cemetery include in-ground interment with upright monuments and flat markers, and above-ground entombment in our mausoleum. We also offer bench memorials.
