Our facility includes one of the largest funeral chapels in Phoenix, seating up to 200 guests. It’s arranged to be comfortable for many types of gatherings with flexible seating, tables, easels and other accommodations. Our reception room is fully equipped with tables, chairs, centerpieces and fine linens that can be used for catered reception services. We offer services at both our funeral home or the location of your choice.
Honoring those who served
Located on the northwest corner of Cave Creek and Greenway Road, Shadow Mountain Mortuary is in close proximity to the National Cemetery. We are proud to serve many military families with our veteran funerals. Our staff is thoroughly prepared to provide expert information about the special benefits available to those who have served our country in the armed forces.
We proudly sponsor the Eternal Flame at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, which burns to honor the fallen heroes of our country at only the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona and Arlington National Cemetery.
All of our services are designed to help families through one of the most personal and challenging stages of life. We understand losing a loved one is an emotional and difficult experience. At Shadow Mountain Mortuary, we are committed to helping families with compassionate, professional and personal service.
After returning from service in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War, Lee Scott entered funeral services industry and founded Shadow Mountain Mortuary in 1974. Deeply involved in the Phoenix community, Lee and his staff were active in supporting, working and being members of organizations, including hospital boards, Chambers of Commerce, Arizona Funeral Directors Association, Rotary International, Masonic Lodge #61, Order of the Eastern Star and Phoenix Boys Choir.
Commitment to excellence
Lee Scott also provided services to the fallen heroes of our local police departments, usually without charge to their family members. Lee recognized a similar dedication to excellence in funeral service and playing a role to the community and decided to join the Dignity Memorial® network.
For the many years after this change, Lee Scott continued to make a contribution to Shadow Mountain Mortuary as long as his health allowed. Shadow Mountain Mortuary is proud to have continued this legacy. We have been recognized many times for the legacy of compassion and dedication as we continue to provide funeral services to members of Arizona's Police Forces, numerous community and civic organizations, and the families of Phoenix, Scottsdale and the Upper Valley area.
