Portland cemetery for all
Situated on approximately 55 acres near Portland’s world-renowned Forest Park, Skyline Memorial Gardens has an expansive view of the Tualatin Valley and the mountains of the Oregon Coast Range.
Our pristine gardens feature multiple interment options for your remembrance, from traditional burial plots with upright or flat markers to private estates. We have both indoor and outdoor mausoleum options.
At Skyline Memorial Gardens, we offer a wide variety of cremation memorialization, such as glass niches for personalized urn placement, memorial benches, columbaria and ground burial in our Apostles Urn Garden, Garden of Reflection and the Garden of Remembrance. The cemetery has 14 traditional gardens, 3 distinctive cremation areas, exclusive private estates, mausoleums and lawn crypts.
Originally known as Northwest Memorial Gardens, Skyline Memorial Gardens was established in 1952 by Fred Collins after he purchased the site from Corrine Barber. Mr. Collins retained the services of Max Fuller, a Kansas City landscape designer who designed many of the mid-century memorial parks in the United States.
As the gardens were designed, Mr. Collins commissioned Carrara marble statues to be carved by Guido Orlandi, an artist from Milan, Italy. Taking pride in these pristine gardens and statues, Mr. Collins personally helped install the Italian marble sculptures that are featured throughout the cemetery.
By 1962, the dream of Mr. Collins to build a funeral home, crematory, flower shop and cemetery became a reality. He owned and operated Skyline Memorial Gardens Funeral Home and Skyline Memorial Gardens until his death in 1975.
