Rocio Kosek has served families in the Queens Village and New Hyde Park communities since 2006. Her career started at R. Stutzmann & Son Funeral Home, where she worked part-time while studying for her mortuary science degree. After graduating, she became a full-time a funeral director.
Rocio welcomes the opportunity to help people from different walks of life. With her proud Latin background and bilingual ability, she has helped the funeral home understand and serve Spanish-speaking families. Rocio takes pride in knowing that she can be a shining light and comfort to the families she feels privileged to assist.
In her spare time, Rocio enjoys quality time with family and friends, traveling, trying new restaurants and exploring the great outdoors.
Jim J Walker
James J. Walker has served families in the Queens Village and New Hyde Park areas since the 1990s. Jim received a degree in mortuary science at State University of New York Canton and a degree in business management from Adelphi University in Garden City. The most rewarding aspect of his career is giving guidance and support to families as they go through the complicated and emotional experience of losing a loved one.
Jim is involved in the Queens Village and New Hyde Park communities. He serves on the board of the Metropolitan Funeral Directors Association, acts as president of the Commack Cemetery Board, is a member of the New Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce and Babylon Masonic Lodge, and is involved with Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Academy and Church.
Jim and his wife have been married since the early 1980s. They have a daughter and two beautiful grandchildren. When he’s not running after his grandson, Jim enjoys taking trips to Florida with his wife, playing golf and practicing martial arts.
Jonathan became interested in being a funeral director in 1999, after his father died. He earned his degree in mortuary science at Nassau Community College and became a funeral director for families in Queens and Nassau County in 2016.
Originally from Jamaica, Queens, Jonathan spent his childhood involved with many area football teams—Springfield Rifles, Queens Cougars, East Coast Knights—and now coaches youth football in the community. He also does community service through his church.
Jonathan lives in the Springfield Gardens area. When he is not working, he enjoys being with his family, especially his young daughter.
Michael J Schehr
Michael J. Schehr is a dedicated funeral director with more than 2 decades of experience. At an early age, he saw the value and reward in assisting families in their time of need, and it cemented his desire to pursue a career in funeral service. A member of the team at R. Stutzmann and Son Funeral Home since 2003, Michael has served many families and created many enduring relationships in the New Hyde Park and Queens Village communities.
Michael was born and raised in Queens, where he still lives. His greatest passion is for his daughter, with whom he spends his days off. He enjoys darts, fishing and maritime recreation, vintage video games and summer travel. He is a Mopar enthusiast.
