    Joni Cooke

    General Manager

    Joni earned her funeral director's license from Humber College in 1989 and began her career as a funeral director. In 2000, she began helping families pre-plan funerals. She continued in those roles until the fall of 2015, when she became a general manager. Joni enjoys working with the many talented individuals who share her passion for funeral care. She encourages her team to be involved in the Sault Ste. Marie community and build enduring relationships.

    Joni has 2 sons and enjoys travelling, her home on the water and precious time with family.

    Ken Currie

    Manager

    Ken Currie was raised in Simcoe, Ontario. He moved to Sault Ste. Marie in January 1995 to complete his funeral service internship with Arthur and Barton & Kiteley Funeral Homes and remained here afterward. He became managing director in 2015 and is dedicated to his team and community.

    Ken is married with 2 sons. In his spare time, Ken enjoys soccer, golf and camping with family and friends.

    William Kiteley

    Consultant

    Bill is the former owner of the Barton & Kiteley and Arthur Funeral Homes. He has been a licensed funeral director there since the mid 1960s and is still involved in day-to-day operations. He is married to the former Rosalind Cook from Bar River. They have 3 children and are proud grandparents of 6. Involved in many community activities, Bill has been a Rotarian since the 1970s and a longtime member of Keystone Masonic Lodge.

    Christian H. Dickie

    Funeral Director

    Born and raised in Parry Sound, Christian gained his first work experience at the local funeral home. He then completed the funeral services program at Humber College and apprenticed in Kirkland Lake, Ontario.

    Christian, his wife and 2 daughters relocated to Sault Ste. Marie after spending more than a decade working in Kingston as a licensed funeral director. He spends his free time in the winter at the arena enjoying his daughters play hockey and his summers are spent camping around Northeastern Ontario. Christian also keeps active by participating in the local men’s lacrosse league, playing hockey, hunting and fishing.

    Taylor Dawn Gilmar

    Funeral Director

    Taylor was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie. She joined the Barton & Kiteley Funeral Home team in 2010 as a high school co-op student. Taylor graduated from Humber College and received her funeral director's license in 2014.

    Zachary Byron Good

    Zachary began his career in funeral services in 2009, obtaining his funeral director’s license in 2012. He grew up on a farm near Desbarats and has served the Sault Ste. Marie Lions Club in many different capacities, including as president.

    Lise Joyal

    Funeral Director

    Born and raised in a small rural town in northern Ontario, Lise is the youngest of 8 children. She attended Cambrian College, where she graduated from the law and security and funeral services programs. A pure wool francophone, Lise is honored to serve the Franco-Ontarian community of Sault Ste. Marie by communicating with them in their native language. In her free time, Lise enjoys hunting.

    Debbie Jo Linklater

    Funeral Director

    Debbie Jo has been a licensed funeral director with Arthur Funeral Home Barton & Kiteley Chapel for over 30 years. A lifelong resident of Sault Ste. Marie, she is married and she and her husband have raised 3 amazing children. She is also "Mom" to her 2 rescue cats, Willow and Rupert, and their newest rescue, “Bear,” an 8 year old German shepherd.

    Having been taught the importance of giving back to her community, Debbie is part of the Sault’s KFM 106.5 Christian radio team, the Veterans Commemorative Monument Committee and served on the Board of Crimestoppers for many years. Passionate about sport, Debbie Jo still plays  slo-pitch and has been involved with the Sault Ringette Club for more than 20 years, having served as president, Regional and Provincial committee member, and chair of Regional, Provincial and National events. Calling Bethel Bible Chapel her church home, Debbie Jo volunteers at Camp ABK (Aush-Bik-Koong) in the summer and facilitates a cooking class at Connect 4 each fall and winter.

     In her spare time she loves to travel with her husband, spend time with her family, read and cook.
