Centuries Memorial Funeral Home and Centuries Memorial Park have served families in Shreveport, Louisiana, since the 1940s. Working together, the cemetery and funeral home can arrange for all of your memorialization needs. Our comforting funeral home

Lobby at Centuries Memorial Funeral HomeWhen you step into Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, we want you to feel at home. Our large visitation room may remind you of your own living room. It accommodates up to 100 guests and has vaulted ceilings, a fireplace, contemporary furniture and flat-screen TVs for video memorials. It also has bookshelves for displaying photographs, keepsakes and memorabilia.

The funeral home also has a smaller, more intimate visitation room and a multipurpose room for catered events. The spacious chapel seats 190 people and has a comforting, peaceful ambiance.

An interactive way to memorialize a loved one

In 2016, we were among the first Dignity Memorial® providers to test an interactive remembrance video technology called Remember When®. This service allows family members and friends to share photographs and comments about a loved one in real time.

During a visitation, guests get a unique link where they can upload photographs and write comments. Pictures and notes are instantly displayed on a screen during the service. Even guests who are not able to attend the service can share their favorite memories.

Afterward, we turn the display of photos and memories into a printed and bound book to be treasured forever.

Centuries Memorial Park cemetery

Situated on more than 80 acres of immaculately groomed gardens, Centuries Memorial Park has been a peaceful final resting place for people in the Ark-La-Tex community since the 1940s.

Water feature at Centuries Memorial ParkMany of our gardens have unique features that enhance the beauty of the property and set us apart from other cemeteries in Shreveport. Visitors enjoy our lovely 3-tiered fountain, the American flags displayed in our veterans gardens, the soaring eagle in our American Heritage garden, as well as the various religious features found throughout the cemetery. A gazebo for funeral and memorial services sits in our Northside Estates garden.

Burial and memorialization options

Cremation garden at Centuries Memorial ParkCenturies Memorial Park offers many burial options: traditional in-ground interment with flat or upright monuments, family estates, private or community mausoleum entombment options and cremation options such as niches, columbaria and benches.

Historic Bell Tower

Landscaping at Centuries Memorial ParkOn the south side of Centuries Memorial Park, you’ll find the historic Bell Tower, a stately 3-story stone structure built in the 1930s that houses 200 glass-front niches.

Encased in marble, these niches can be personalized in any way you desire. Families can place pictures, keepsakes, urns and more in their loved ones’ niches—anything that illustrates a person’s life story. Think: golf balls for your golf pro, a cookie jar for your dessert lover, die-cast cars for a racing fan or a box of jewelry for the fanciest gal in town.

The Bell Tower rings every half hour, 7 am-8 pm. Its harmonious tones travel throughout Centuries Memorial Park.

Honoring veterans and military families

Veterans section at Centuries Memorial ParkTo honor the brave men and women who fought for our country’s freedom, we have dedicated 2 veterans gardens: Veterans Field of Honor I and II. The newer garden has a patriotic feature of an American flag on a pedestal, adding to the garden’s dignified appearance.

We also participate in the Dignity Memorial Homeless Veterans Burial Program to provide dignified and honorable burials for eligible homeless or impoverished veterans.

Room for growth

Landscaping at Centuries Memorial ParkAt Centuries, we understand how important it is to look to the future. Roughly half of our 80 acres are undeveloped, meaning we can add new gardens, sections and features when we need to—and that we’ll be able to serve many more generations of Shreveport families.
