Peter started his career in funeral service at the age of 17, as an apprentice at Michael Heggarty Funeral Home in Old Bridge, New Jersey. After graduating from Marlboro High School in Marlboro, New Jersey, he attended Mercer County Community College, where he earned degrees in business and mortuary science. He has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer for 21 years, working most of his career in family-owned businesses throughout New Jersey. Today, Peter is general manager at several Dignity Memorial locations in North Carolina.
Peter is happily married to his wife, Gretchen. They live in Mooresville, North Carolina, with their three children—Peter Jr., Victoria and Samantha—and two dogs, Maya and Gracie. They are parishioners of St. Therese Catholic Church.
In his time away from work, Peter likes to watch the New York Giants, New York Yankees and his children’s sporting events. He loves fishing and cars from all decades—especially the Corvette.
