We believe that funeral services should reflect your passions, individuality and personality. At Evangeline Funeral Home, our goal is to create meaningful tributes that celebrate your loved one. Adding personalization to a funeral or memorial is what makes a celebration memorable. From showcasing your loved one’s favorite flowers and letting the good times roll with a zydeco band to sharing treasured mementos and savoring custom-made cupcakes, the possibilities are endless. With a little inspiration from you, our funeral directors and associates celebrate life like no else can.

The St. Martinville, Louisiana, location of Evangeline Funeral Home opened in 1951 after the Cletus Landry family decided to expand their funeral business beyond New Iberia. In addition to the St. Martinville location, the Landry family also opened a Delcambre location in 1960.
Original Evangeline funeral home
The Landry family opened our 1st Evangeline Funeral Home in 1941 after purchasing a private residence in New Iberia. The New Iberia funeral home has been a landmark and historic fixture in the area for many years and is a 2-story antebellum home that was built between 1901 and 1904 by the Dietlein family.
New funeral home owner
On November 6, 1986, Dalton L. Babineaux Jr. purchased the funeral home from the Landry family and operated the business until July 1, 1997.
Joining the Dignity Memorial network
