Melvin L Lincoln
Funeral Services Assistant
Mel started his career at DeYoung Memorial Chapel in June 1964 as a funeral director and embalmer. He has continuously served his community by providing exceptional funeral service for more than half a century. Mel currently works as a part-time funeral attendant and is often found mentoring the next generation of funeral directors. Because of his long tenure, Mel is well-known within the community and has built close, trusting relationships with the families he has served, often finding himself invited to a family party after a chance encounter. When he is not working, Mel enjoys trout fishing and spends much of his time with his grandchildren, camping, attending their soccer games and taking them to school in the mornings.
Stephen M Trucco
Funeral Services Assistant
Stephen Trucco was born and raised in beautiful Stockton, California. In 1961 Steve was drafted to serve in the United States Army where he met many lifelong friends. Upon leaving the service in 1966 Steve joined the postal service where he worked as a letter carrier until his 1994 retirement. In 1995 Steve began working at DeYoung Memorial Chapel and, over two decades later, he still serves the families of his home town as an attendant.
In his spare time Steve enjoys playing with the band he started in the 1960s. He also enjoys attending social and charitable events and traveling to Genova, Italy, to visit his cousins. Steve is always on the go and can be found playing his accordion at local live music festivals, hanging out at the Italian athletic club, or enjoying a meal at one of his favorite local restaurants. So, if you happen to run into him, say "hi" and you'll make a new friend who will share his homemade salami and vinegar with you!
