A funeral home like no other

Chapel at Aycock Funeral Home Young & Prill ChapelAt Aycock Funeral Home – Young & Prill Chapel, your family's satisfaction is our priority, and our professional, caring team goes the extra mile to meet special needs and sentimental requests.

What does that mean exactly? Whether you are seeking a basic cremation with cremated remains scattered at the ocean, a traditional funeral service in our chapel with a graveside service, or a modern celebration of life with favorite music, a personalized menu and a send-off that reflects the personality and passions of yourself or your loved one, we make it happen—and we do it with a level of care and compassion that's uncommon in this world. We believe that every life is unique and that every funeral should be too.

From a butterfly release to buttercream frosting, bluebonnets to blue marble, putters to puppies, if you can imagine it, we can deliver it.

History

Sitting area at Aycock Funeral Home Young & Prill ChapelG. Wade Aycock opened Aycock Funeral Home on South Federal Highway in Stuart, in December 1968. A demanding businessman and compassionate funeral professional, he quickly established a reputation for providing the finest funeral, memorial and cremation services around and rapidly expanded up and down the Treasure Coast.

Treasure Coast expansion

His first expansion was into Jensen Beach in 1973. Later, in 1982, Wade opened a third location of Aycock Funeral Home, in Port St. Lucie, on Floresta Drive. Aycock-Riverside Funeral and Cremation Center opened in Jupiter in 1987. The fifth Aycock Funeral Home was added to the grounds of Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce in 1996.

Along the way, the original Stuart location got an on-site crematory. Aycock Funeral Home opened a second location in Port St. Lucie, on Bayshore Boulevard in 1995. It combined operations with Roger L. Byrd – Port St. Lucie Funeral Home in 2004 and is now known as Aycock Funeral Home – Byrd, Young & Prill Chapel. A second Stuart location — our location — operates as Aycock Funeral Home – Young & Prill Chapel, about 15 minutes south of the original Stuart location.

"Everyone I worked with at Dignity Memorial was so kind and compassionate. They made sure that every detail was taken care of in a timely fashion. My mom's death was somewhat overwhelming to me, but I felt I had their team supporting me and helping with all the decisions. I highly recommend the staff and personnel at Dignity Memorial."

"From the moment I walked into the funeral home, and every moment through every phase, Laura, and the team led by Peter, provided beyond an exceptional level of care and compassion in this most difficult time of my life, the lost of my son. The entire staff never let the smallest detail be ignored. I was taken care of as if I was the closest member of their own personal family."
