A compassionate Torrance funeral home
We take great pride in being actively involved in the Torrance community. To us, community means more than just doing business here—it means being a good neighbor by providing compassionate care and helping our families create lasting and meaningful tributes for their loved ones.
To better serve the people of Torrance and the surrounding communities, we have both Spanish and English speaking team members.
Let's start with a story
At Halverson, Stone & Myers Mortuary, we believe that each funeral service should be as unique as the individual being honored. Our imaginative team is skilled at creating one-of-a-kind tributes, and can find inspiration almost anywhere. Whether it's a treasured poem, lifelong hobby or even a signature style, we take all of the things a loved one held dear and string them together to create a singular, heartfelt memorial.
Imagine a putting green in our chapel with personalized golf balls for each guest. Envision a beach-themed ceremony with seashells, sandcastles and flip-flops. There are thousands of ways to celebrate a loved one's life. It all starts with a story—we'll take it from there.
You can count on us
We're proud to be a member of the Dignity Memorial® network of funeral, cremation and cemetery service providers. As North America's largest provider of funeral, cremation and cemetery services, we assure you an experience of quality, value and caring service when you walk through our doors.
Please call us for any reason at all. We're here for you day and night.
Halverson, Stone & Myers Mortuary has been an important part of our community since its founding as Halverson-Leavell Mortuary in 1954 when Henry Halverson and his brother-in-law, Albert "Babe" Leavell, decided to expand their successful San Pedro mortuary business into the Torrance area. As was common of the time, Halverson-Leavell Mortuary was opened right across the street from Stone & Myers Mortuary, which had been serving the community of Torrance since 1921.
In 1983, Stone & Myers Mortuary teamed together with Halverson-Leavell Mortuary to combine their many years of experience serving the community into Halverson, Stone & Myers Mortuary. The newer, more modern Halverson-Leavell location was chosen to house the newly christened Halverson, Stone & Myers Mortuary with its majestic 50-foot copper steeple. Our beautiful architecture even helped place our facility on the local Historic Homes Walk.
