    General Manager

    Michael S. Nowak received his bachelor's degree from the University of Connecticut and associates degree in mortuary science from Briarwood College, now known as Lincoln College of New England. He has been a Connecticut funeral director and embalmer for over 18 years, serving the Norwich community since 2001. He also holds a Connecticut insurance producers license. Michael lives in Noank with his wife and 2 sons and enjoys spending time with his family, playing trumpet and guitar and working on cars.

  • Mark T Kalinowski

    Funeral Director

    Mark T. Kalinowski was born and raised in Norwich, Connecticut. In 1982 he became a Norwich police officer, serving until 2003. From that point on, he has continued in his ministry of service to others as a funeral director.

    Mark is also a substitute teacher in the Norwich Public School System, working with children on the autism spectrum. In his life and career, Mark follows this quote by Mahatma Gandhi: “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”

    Mark lives in Norwich with his wife, children, black labs and cats. He enjoys the outdoors, hiking with the dogs, kayaking and playing the Native American flute.

    Bob Lachance has been a funeral director and embalmer for more than 30 years. He also holds an insurance license from the State of Connecticut.

    Bob has been a member of the Knights of Columbus for more than 30 years. He and his wife, Lisa, live in East Haddam, Connecticut. They have 2 children, Michael and Elizabeth, and 2 grandchildren, Rylie and Luke.

  • Wendy Kathleen Legas

    Funeral Director

    Since 2005, Wendy has provided compassionate care to families in the Norwich and Montville areas. Wendy earned her degree from Arapahoe Community College in Littleton, Colorado, in 2005. She is proud to be a part of the Dignity Memorial team, guiding families through one of the most personal times in life. When she is not serving families, Wendy enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, tending to her Christmas tree farm, and raising chickens.

  • Kenneth Wheeler Sebastian

    Funeral Director

    Kenneth has provided compassionate care to families of eastern Connecticut since 1967. Ken earned his degree in mortuary science from American Academy McAllister Institute in New York.

    Music is an important part of Ken's life and he can often be found singing in choirs or playing organ and piano. Involved in the Christian church all of his life, he works with men's and Bible study groups and supports youth activities. Ken lives in Preston with his wife and has a daughter and four grandchildren.
