  • Brent H Caughman

    General Manager

    As a lifelong resident of Lexington, Brent H. Caughman graduated from Lexington High School and Gupton-Jones Mortuary College. He became a licensed funeral director after an early start as a teenager with Caughman-Harman Funeral Home.

    Brent is a member of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, the South Carolina Funeral Directors and Cemetery associations, the Lexington and Irmo Chamber of Commerce and Ducks Unlimited. He has also served as president of the Lexington Jaycees.

    Brent is married and has 3 sons.

  • Ronald A Hicks

    Manager

    Ronald "Ashley" Hicks is a lifelong resident of Lexington County. He graduated from Batesburg-Leesville High School and Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service. He is a licensed funeral director and embalmer and has been with Caughman-Harman Funeral Home since 1997.

    Ashley is also a member of the South Carolina Funeral Directors Association and a former Lexington County deputy coroner. He is married and has 1 daughter.

  • Kevin B Sharpe

    Funeral Director

    Kevin Sharpe has been with Caughman-Harman Funeral Home since 1999. He graduated from Batesburg-Leesville High School and Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science. He is a licensed funeral director and certified crematory operator with the Cremation Association of North America. He belongs to the South Carolina Funeral Directors Association and Batesburg-Leesville Masonic Lodge #138 AFM. Kevin is a lifelong resident of Lexington County. He is married with 2 daughters, a son and a grandson.
  • William Herbert Lynch

    Funeral Director

    Raised in Alcolu, S.C., William Lynch began his funeral service career as a funeral assistant in 2012, right after graduating from Sumter High School. After training as an apprentice funeral director and embalmer, he graduated from Piedmont Technical College with a degree in applied science in funeral services. He became a licensed funeral director in early-2018 and also holds certifications as a crematory operator, cremation services provider, and pre-need insurance provider. He sees the funeral profession as his calling and serves every family with compassionate care during challenging times.

    William serves his community away from work as well. He is a volunteer firefighter with the Chapin Fire Department, a member of Chapin United Methodist Church, a member of the Chapin Community Engagement Council, and an announcer for Chapin High School athletic events, as well as a board member for the Chapin Chamber of Commerce and Chapin Ruritan Club. He is active with the South Carolina Funeral Directors Association, where he serves on the Executive Committee and is chairman of the Central Coastal Funeral Directors Group.

    William and his wife reside in Chapin with their 2 dogs and are expecting their first child in mid-2020.

  • Samantha J Millender

    Funeral Director

    Samantha Millender is a graduate of Ottawa-Glandorf High School and Piedmont Technical College, School of Mortuary Science. Formerly of Ohio, she has lived in Lexington since 1998. Samantha is a licensed funeral director and embalmer and has been with Caughman-Harman Funeral Home since 2001.

    Samantha has earned the voluntary designation of certified funeral service practitioner and is a member of the Lexington and Irmo Chamber of Commerce and the South Carolina Funeral Directors Association.

    Samantha is married and has 3 dogs, Vada, Hank and Kaya.

  • Weston M Shealy

    Funeral Director

    Weston Shealy, a lifelong resident of Lexington County, graduated from Batesburg-Leesville High School and Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service. He has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer since 1980 and has been with Caughman-Harman Funeral Home since 2012. Weston was a volunteer for Batesburg-Leesville Fire Department for 18 years. He is a member of Old Lexington Baptist Church in Leesville and the South Carolina Funeral Directors Association. He is married and has a son and daughter.

  • Daisy W Harman

    Consultant

    Daisy is a licensed funeral director and pre-planning advisor and has been active with us since 1997. She is a member of Lexington Chamber of Commerce, Lexington Kiwanis Club, Lexington Network of Female Executives and South Carolina Funeral Directors Association. She also serves on the boards of Lexington County Museum, Lexington Interfaith Community, The Shepherd Center and formerly on the Riverbanks Zoo and Central Carolina Community Foundation. Daisy also contributes a weekly column in the Lexington Chronicle and is a recipient of the A.L. Harman Award and numerous others for community service. She has 2 daughters and 6 grandchildren.

  • Matthew B Bedenbaugh

    Manager

    Matt graduated from Batesburg-Leesville High School, Spartanburg Methodist College and Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Service. He is a licensed funeral director and embalmer and has been with the funeral home since 1999. He belongs to the South Carolina Funeral Directors Association. 

    A husband, father of two and active member of the community, Matt attends Newspring Church in Lexington. He is a past worshipful master of Batesburg-Leesville Masonic Lodge #138 AFM and volunteers as a coach for his son’s baseball team.

  • Stephen Todd Caughman

    Manager

    Stephen "Todd" Caughman was born and raised in Lexington, graduating from Lexington High School and Gupton-Jones Mortuary College. He is a licensed funeral director and embalmer and started working at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home as a teenager.

    Todd was a former Lexington County firefighter and deputy with Lexington County Coroner’s Office. He is a member of the Lexington Chamber of Commerce, the South Carolina Funeral Directors Association and the Country Club of Lexington.

    Todd has 3 daughters, 1 son and 2 grandchildren.
