Our legacy

Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes focuses on offering compassionate care paired with excellence and integrity. Our reputation is built upon 4 generations of family commitment to the communities we serve.

This commitment is deeply rooted in the work ethic of our funeral home's founders. Floyd A. Gorsline began the business as a combination furniture store and undertaking operation at our Williamston location in 1903. The highest standards of quality and professionalism were the well-known foundation of F.A. Gorsline and Sons.

With the merging of the Gorsline Runciman Company and Ball Dunn Funeral Home of Mason in 1972, Ball Dunn’s tradition was embraced by the Lansing area. Angus MacDonald founded the Mason firm in 1868 as a carpentry and undertaking business. This merger formed an exceptional approach to funeral service.

Community involvement

Today, our Williamston funeral home team continues to adhere to the values and principles of our fathers, grandfathers and great-grandfathers. While the funeral service industry has changed and evolved over the years, we have remained committed to providing special burial and cremation services to the greater Lansing area.

Gorsline Runciman continues to provide thoughtful services while responding to the needs and desires of our families.
