Front exterior building at Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration CentreOver the years, we have served families in Windsor with their funeral and memorial services and hope we can do the same for you. Please contact Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre if you need immediate assistance or would like to meet with someone from our caring staff.

Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre in Windsor, Ontario, has been helping families with their burial and cremation services for over 55 years. In 1958, Walter Douglas Kelly left Morris Funeral Home, which was then located at the corner of Lincoln and Wyandotte. He purchased the old Little family residence at 1969 Wyandotte Street East, and opened what would become Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre.

Unfortunately, Walter Kelly passed away suddenly in 1962. The funeral home was left to his wife, Miriam. Miriam ran the funeral home together with and Jack Garswood until his retirement. In 1978, Miriam passed away and left the funeral home to her daughter, Barbara Ann. She and her longtime employees, Thomas Holmes and William Rolland, continued to operate the funeral home.

After nearly 2 decades—with her health failing and having no heirs who were capable of operating the business—Barbara sold Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre in 1997.

Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre continues to remodel and update the funeral home, adding more modern amenities for your convenience. These amenities paired with our custom services allow us to better serve the burial and cremation needs of our Windsor Community.

"Exceptional and caring service by everyone from start to finish. Carly was great to work with for the arrangements and services. Heather's after care meeting helped make me feel more comfortable with what I will have to face in the days ahead as executor."

"The team of staff at the Wyandotte location is amazing! They were genuine and by your side through the whole process. Never felt any pressure or judgement from anyone, very knowledgeable and patient. They were able to answer all questions and even followed up to make sure everything was good. Offered their support any way they could. Truly an amazing team of people. I will be dealing with them personally going forward. Thank you to all who were involved in the process of my dad passing, you are wonderful people."

"My family has been entrusting the Walter D. Kelly Funeral Home with afterlife care since our first family member passed away in 1972. Since then, many more have passed through their doors, the most recent in 2020. As a result, we developed a level of trust and ongoing friendship with the longstanding staff that runs deep. There are other families in our Walkerville neighbourhood and beyond, who share this experience. With my most recent family member, it was I who worked closely with the staff and experienced first hand, their high level of professionalism and attention to detail. I felt 'held' and cared-for throughout the entire experience by each and every staff member involved. I cannot thank them enough."
