History

Forest Park East Funeral Home and Forest Park East Cemetery were started by the Eubanks family in 1952. In the early 2000s, the property they share was chosen as the new location for Campbell Bayou Cemetery.

Campbell Bayou Cemetery moved from Texas City to Webster

Campbell Bayou Cemetery was 1 of the 1st cemeteries in Texas City, Texas. Opened in the 1830s, its 1st documented burial was in 1856 and its last was in 1904. In the early 2000s, the cemetery needed to be moved to a new location and Forest Park East Cemetery was chosen as that new spot. Over a decade, 35 graves from Campbell Bayou Cemetery were carefully excavated and moved to a section of Forest Park East. In October 2015, a section of the cemetery was dedicated to the Campbell Bayou graves that were transferred here.
