and I want to hear about who our mom was to everyone here.

And to my Mom……..THANK YOU……for giving me my sisters and brother to take care of me in your absence. You may have thought that you were just a pebble in an infinite ocean, but to us you are the ocean. We thank God, Grandpa, and Grandma for giving us that little bit of extra time with you. Know that you are appreciated and that every HUG, every KISS, and every bit of WISDOM you shared with all your grandsons, granddaughters, son and daughters will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.
May you rest peacefully in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Our Mom….Alice Ramos-Hernandez………

the mission.
Our Mom, she was loyal. She would go to the end of the earth for her daughters, son, granddaughters, grandsons, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. She would give the shirt off her back to us, to her family. And boy, you couldn’t say one bad thing about us or her family, cause then she would “have a talk with you”. That gift, of course, is strong with my sister Grace. Enough said! 😊
Our Mom, she loved God. She had a relationship with him. This last week was tough and I was able to see her true relationship with God. He helped her through her pain, as she would call out to Him and He would answer. She asked Him to forgive her for her sins, because she knew she wasn’t perfect, and He forgave her. She wanted peace and she left us peacefully.
Our Mom, she was a bingo player. I think we can say that, that was her “hobby”. She had a second family there. We want to thank that second family, for keeping her happy, as she has shared to us numerous stories of her times at bingo. She had a smile and laugh to share with each story.
Our Mom, she loved to laugh. She was a comedian and she loved to make everyone laugh. That gift, we all have in us. She enjoyed family and laughter, always ready to plan our holiday gatherings, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween.
Our Mom, she was a worrier, always worried that grand kids were ok, often checked on her brothers and sisters, helping her son and daughters, even when we didn’t need it. In fact, it was when we told her we all will be alright and that we all loved her so much, that she decided it was time to let go.
Our Mom told us to follow our hearts in everything we do. That if we followed our heart in our decisions, we would know we were making the right choices.
I could go on and on about how she is a true Cowboys fan and makes the best flour tortillas, how she loved being outside and enjoyed her trips to the coast and loved dancing, I mean really loved dancing, but we’d be here forever,

Our Mom’s Gifts from Him….
I think the hardest part about losing someone you love on earth, is telling everyone how much their life meant to all their family and friends. I mean I could be here for hours and days talking about our mom’s 70 years of living. You know I guess she didn’t want to be 71 because her birthday is today. It’s almost like we are celebrating her birth into heaven.
Where do I start? Our Mom, she was a caring person, always doing for others. I admired that about her when I would see her pickup Grandma and drive her around town as a little girl. She would always help Grandma do her Christmas shopping, so I kinda knew what everyone was getting ever year. I always saw joy in her eyes though, every time she did for others. The same look I see when my sister Irma is doing for others.
Our Mom, she was so brave, so, so, so, brave. Brave enough to fight cancer three times. Brave enough to say “ya, tha consada. I’m ready mija”. That was the first time I think we ever heard her say she was tired. So…we knew we had to respect her decision, even though it was hard to. So brave our mom. That gift I see in my brother Micheal. That piece of her grows strong in my brother. It shows so in his duty as he serves our country.
Our Mom, she was beautiful. Looking at her pictures from then and now, she was so beautiful. As a little girl I loved watching her put make-up on, thinking how beautiful she was. Even as she sleeps forever, she is beautiful. That gift I see in my sister Marquita and in all our moms’ grandsons and granddaughters, so handsome and beautiful. Thanks Mom, for your beauty!
Our Mom, she was a provider. She didn’t have much, but what she had she made use of. There were times that she would make a meal out of nothing. Mom, she DID make miracles every Thanksgiving, she just provided. To this day, I don’t know how she did it on her own for six of us. That gift I see in my sister Jessika, a provider, taking charge and completing
