

Edward was born on May 12, 1934, in New London, Connecticut to Anthony and Katherine (Lavelle) Joyce. He attended St. Mary’s school, Buckley High School and graduated from New London High school. He received his Bachelors Degree from Barry University in Miami. He served in the National Guard during the Korean Conflict.
Edward met his wife Gladys at a church function and married June 25, 1955. He worked as a draftsman designing submarines for Electric Boat in Groton, Connecticut and Perry Submarines in Riviera Beach, Florida. He retired from Pratt and Whitney Aircraft as a buyer and serving a 3-year support deployment to Egypt. He retired a second time from Aycock Funeral Homes.
He is survived by his four children, David Joyce, William Joyce, Sharon Joyce and Martin Joyce. Five grandchildren, Edward, Benjamin, Jonathan, Justin and Jason. 3 great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Michael and David. His brother, Anthony Joyce and his sisters, Mary (Joyce) Wagner, Anne (Joyce) Fafalla. He is pre deceased by his wife, Gladys, his brother, Austin Joyce and his parents,
His viewing will be January 17, 4- 7 PM at Aycock Funeral Home, 1504 Southeast Floresta Drive, Port St. Lucie, FL, 34983
A Funeral Mass will take place on January 18, 2025, at 11:00 am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2330 SE Mariposa Avenue, Port St. Lucie, FL, 34952, followed by a Gathering to Celebrate his Llife at the church hall.
