    A graduate of Jefferson State Junior College with a degree in mortuary science, Jeff has been with our team since 1984. As the team leader, Jeff brings the worth of experience and insight to the overall direction of our work. His role spans many facets, however, they all have one thing in common: to service families with excellence and compassion. This quest has been his goal throughout his many years in the business, beginning in 1982 following high school in Tuscaloosa.

    Jeffery S Mcbrayer

    General Manager

    Jeffery "Scott" Mcbrayer has been an associate of Dignity Memorial® since December of 1990. He currently serves as managing director, proudly guiding each family with compassionate care. Scott earned a business management degree from Samford University and extended his education at Jefferson State College, obtaining a mortuary science degree.

    Scott is extremely involved in the community and currently serving his 3rd term as Mayor of Homewood, having served 2 terms on the Homewood City Council prior. He is a member of the Jefferson County Mayor's Association and the director for the southern portion of Jefferson County Emergency Management Association, representing the cities of Homewood, Mountain Brook, Vestavia Hills and Hoover.

    When he is not at the funeral home serving families, Scott enjoys fishing.

    George C Bartle

    Funeral Director

    George has been a funeral director with Dignity Memorial® in Homewood, Alabama, since August, 2005. He has a degree in commerce and business administration from the University of Alabama. George has served the families in the Homewood / Birmingham area with the utmost professionalism and compassion.

    Outside the funeral home, George is active with the Knights of Columbus, Boy Scouts and other community organizations. He has represented Ridout's Valley Chapel on the board of directors for Community Grief Support where he recently served as chairman.

    Robynne Gray

    Funeral Director

    Since 2016 Robynne has provided compassionate care to families in the Birmingham area. Robynne earned her degree in mortuary science from Jefferson State Community College in 2014. She is proud to be a part of the Dignity Memorial® team, guiding you through one of the most personal times in life with the utmost professionalism and compassion.

    Kelly Coleman Karrh

    Funeral Director

    Kelly has compassionately provided care to families in Jefferson County and the surrounding area since 2010. Kelly earned Associate of Applied Science degree in funeral service education from Jefferson State Community College in 2012. As a member of the Dignity Memorial® team, he proudly guides each family through one of the most difficult times of life. When he is not serving families, Kelly enjoys spending time with his family, reading and being involved in different activities at the First Baptist Church in Mount Olive.

    One of our longest serving directors, Jack has witnessed many changes in the funeral industry without allowing them to effect his high standard of care. He began working with our team in 1986 and, through the years, has seen and done it all. Today, Jack lends his comforting demeanor and watchful care to most of the services conducted here.

    Although a recent transfer to our team, Ira is no rookie to the funeral industry and brings both experience and a compassionate spirit. Ira has served as part of the Dignity Memorial® team since July 1999, guiding families through the funeral arrangement process and directing services.

    Funeral Attendant

    Steven has been in the funeral business for more than 25 years. He has worked in Birmingham, Trussville, Anniston and Homewood.

    He and his wife, Susan, have been married more than 20 years—they met at a funeral. When Steven is not working, he enjoys relaxing at the lake.
