Donald joined the funeral profession in September 2015 and is trained as both a funeral director and an embalmer. Funeral service is a second career for Donald as he was in human services before joining the staff at Carothers Funeral Home. He is committed to providing excellent care to each family he serves. As a detail-oriented person, Donald says, "I believe that families are under enough stress when they lose a loved one and I am committed to making the funeral planning and services as stress-free as possible." He considers it an honor and privilege to serve families during their time of need.
Donald has been a resident of the local area since 2004. A California native, Donald has lived in Kentucky, Michigan and upstate New York, but calls North Carolina home. He is an active member of First Baptist Church in Shelby. Both Donald's wife and his daughter are school teachers in local school districts. He is a University of North Carolina football and basketball fan and enjoys working out at the YMCA.
