A welcoming resting place for all
We have strong ties with all independent African-American funeral homes and several Island Nation funeral homes in greater Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Forest Lawn Central Memorial Gardens cemetery has 4 Islamic burial gardens and strong relationships with area mosques.
The cemetery provides a variety of interment options, including traditional ground plots and lawn crypts. The mausoleum is strikingly beautiful, with a large fountain, stained glass and religious statuary. Options here include crypts and cremation niches. For families wanting exclusivity, we offer build-to-suit private mausoleum estates.

Forest Lawn Central Memorial Gardens is a member of the Dignity Memorial® network, the largest group of funeral, burial, cremation and cemetery service providers in North America.
Established in the late 50s, Forest Lawn Memorial Garden Central is the 2nd oldest cemetery in Fort Lauderdale.
The stately mausoleum was constructed in 3 phases. The initial phase began in the mid 70s and the final phase was completed in the late 80s. It was the first mausoleum in Fort Lauderdale and the only one for several years.
Sweeping cemetery grounds surround the main mausoleum, which serves as a central focal point for the park. The cemetery has several historical sections where many early Fort Lauderdale pioneers are buried. The cemetery is the final resting place of professional boxer and former World Heavyweight Champion, Rocco Francis Marchegiano—better known as Rocky Marciano.
