When Katy Funeral Home opened in 2013, we set out to become an integral part of the Katy community by providing meaningful funeral and memorial services beyond expectations. We are part of the Dignity Memorial® network of funeral, cremation and cemetery service providers. This means that you receive not only the compassionate care you expect from a locally operated funeral home, but also the value you deserve from the largest group of funeral, cremation and cemetery service providers in North America.

Funeral home with Texas hospitality
Katy Funeral Home's chapel was designed to echo the peace and quiet of a Texas Hill Country afternoon. A stratified limestone background gives a casket a place of honor. During the day, the chapel is bathed in natural light, gently filtered by stained-glass windows in soft gray, gold and mocha. Guests have commented on the light and airy feel of the funeral home, and our chapel is especially notable for the tranquility expressed in a soothing palette of earth tones. The chapel seats about 200 people in padded chairs that can be rearranged to suit your needs.
Serving many cultures and faiths
Katy sits at the crossroads of 3 Houston-area counties and is close neighbors with 1 of the fastest growing cities in the world. We stay ever mindful of our mission to support the international community of this large and diverse metropolitan area. We recognize the importance of meeting the funeral and memorial needs of every race, religion and affiliation, and bring respect to each unique set of circumstances.
Katy Funeral Home provides a welcoming place for all memorial occasions, whether it is a quiet service with full church ceremony or a joyous celebration of life offsite. We work with Asian families as they celebrate their Buddhist traditions, as well as accommodate the mourning dances of African death ceremonies in our welcoming chapel.
Committed to Katy and you
We are committed to giving back to our community and are members of the Katy Chamber of Commerce, Katy Area Economic Development Council, Network Texas-Katy and West Houston Chapters, Katy Continuity of Care and The Arc of Katy. We are also active volunteers with the Ballard House, Bo's Place and the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center.
If you have an immediate need to plan a funeral or cremation, or you're thinking about planning a funeral ahead of time, we hope you’ll visit Katy Funeral Home to discuss your options. We are here for you 24/7.
Cremations and witnessing the cremation
For people who choose cremation, Katy Funeral Home can coordinate the entire cremation process. The crematory we're affiliated with also has an attached witness room for families who wish to conduct the time-honored tradition of witness cremations. We want you to know you have plenty of options when it comes to cremations. We can perform a cremation following a funeral service, preceding a memorial service or without a service at all. The choice is yours.
Honoring military families
At Katy Funeral Home, we believe that 1 of our greatest privileges is serving those who have served our country. To that end, we provide military funerals with all of the attendant reverence and respect due to those individuals who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
It is an honor, for example, for us to accompany a family to the airport to receive their fallen soldier and provide a full processional to the closed runway to receive the casket from the plane onto the tarmac. Though there can be no more emotionally raw or overwhelming moment for a grieving family, we understand that just standing with a family and providing support is paramount. Our management and attention to each detail give the family reassurance at their most vulnerable moment—and that's something we are honored to do for you too.
