    Sean Thomas Allan

    General Manager

Sean T. Allan has been serving families throughout western and central Michigan since the late 2000s. As a second-generation funeral director, Sean will be the first to admit he never planned to follow in his father’s footsteps. After high school, Sean studied architecture and electrical engineering. While working throughout west Michigan as a builder and real estate investor, Sean found himself updating a funeral home's facilities, where he made a strong connection with the staff.

Intrigued by funeral and memorial services and realizing how greatly they differed from what he had imagined, Sean enrolled in mortuary school and began serving at a funeral home, determined to provide support for families any way he could. He received his degree in funeral service from American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service in New York City. Today, Sean continues to emphasize the belief that each life should be uniquely celebrated.

Sean and his wife, married in 2003, have two sons. Sean is active with the Sons of the American Legion and is a member of the Lansing Chamber of Commerce, the Masonic Lodge No. 34 and Shriners of North America.

    Funeral Director

Rachel has been serving families for Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes since 2015. Married since 1998 and originally from the Ovid-Elsie area, Rachel now resides in St. Johns, Michigan, with her husband and four children. I love serving our families and it really give me a sense of pride and honor to be able to sit with families during one of the most difficult times of their lives. These families become my family.” Knowing at a very young age this is what she wanted to do and after becoming a wife and a mother, she applied to Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Wheeling, Illinois in 2010. She moved to Chicago for a year and graduated with honors in 2011. After returning to Michigan and fulfilling the requirements, Rachel was offered a position as a licensed funeral director for Gorsline Runciman. Rachel is now serving families in the Lansing, East Lansing, Williamston, Mason and Dewitt areas. She has been involved in her community coaching soccer and softball and also volunteers with her children during the Mint Festival in St. Johns and the 4-H Clinton County Fair.
