Since 1992 Ron, known to many as RJ, has provided compassionate and friendly care to families in Nanaimo and the mid-Vancouver Island region. RJ began his funeral service career with First Memorial in North Vancouver in 1989. He is proud to be a part of the First Memorial team, assisting you through one of the most personal times in life. RJ has been and is involved with many organizations in Nanaimo—charitable, athletic and social. He is happy to call Nanaimo home.
Kerstin Elizabeth Bolseng
Kerstin was born and raised in Edmonton, with three sisters and a brother. Her love of people and the human condition drives her to connect more deeply with those she serves. Approaching funeral service with integrity, compassion and inclusivity, Kerstin keeps in mind the interests of each individual, making every effort to be a supportive friend to all. She works to build relationships and serve the community without discrimination or judgment. Kerstin's interests include art, music, photography, hiking and reading good books.
Karen started her career in 1998 in Williams Lake. Karen enjoys serving families and has made Nanaimo her home for nearly 20 years. Karen shares her spare time with her grandchildren and her friends. She loves to travel.
Terrie Lee-Anne Pickering
Since 2005, Terrie Pickering has served in the funeral industry. She earned her license as a funeral director and embalmer from the Canadian College of Funeral Service. Terrie is proud to be part of our team and to provide compassion and comfort to families in Duncan, Saanich and Nanaimo.
Terrie moved to Duncan on Vancouver Island in 2002 to enjoy the island life. She is very family oriented, and raising her three children brings her great joy.
Taylor Anne Marie Poulin
Taylor Poulin started as an apprentice funeral director at Chapel of Memories Funeral Directors in April 2015. She graduated from the Canadian College of Funeral Services in 2016 with a diploma in funeral director and embalmer studies and became a licensed funeral director and embalmer in August 2017. Taylor has served the families in Port Alberni, British Columbia, with the utmost professionalism and compassion. When she is not serving families, Taylor enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
