Modern funeral home
Located at 7724 Landers Road in the northern section of Little Rock, we also serve families in the Sherwood, Jacksonville, Cabot and Beebe communities. We are members of the Dignity Memorial® network of funeral, cremation and cemetery providers, offering quality, compassionate care and service you can trust.
The spacious Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home and its experienced team are here to serve your every need. Whether you prefer a large, themed event or a small, intimate gathering, we are happy to arrange a personalized, custom memorialization for your loved one. The funeral home features a chapel, 2 staterooms and a community room.
Our chapel accommodates up to 150 guests and includes a projector for playing video tributes. The space houses a baby grand piano and pipe organ. The chapel also has a family sitting area toward the front of the room and designated spaces for placement of plants, flowers and keepsakes.
Smaller services can also take place in one of our intimate staterooms. If you wish to hold a reception following a chapel service, our staterooms serve as a place for guests to gather and socialize.
The community room is ideal for receptions. It features round tables and seating groups of comfortable couches and oversized chairs. Three televisions are available to play memorial videos, photo slideshows, funny videos and more. This room is very flexible and can be easily transformed with themed decor.
Let’s celebrate life
Our goal is to celebrate life like no other. Whether you prefer a traditional funeral, memorial service or celebration of life ceremony, our professional and caring team is committed to creating a memorable and meaningful tribute.
At Griffin Leggett Rest Hills, we have created and hosted many themed events. We can decorate with watering cans and baskets of vegetables for a gardener. We can throw a luau complete with hula dancers for someone who was passionate about Hawaii. We'll pitch tents out front for an avid camper or arrange a fireworks show for someone born on the Fourth of July. The possibilities are virtually endless. Let's start with a story and go from there.
Rest Hills Memorial Park
Located on a beautiful, sloping landscape, Rest Hills Memorial Park makes for a dignified and peaceful final resting place. The 111-acre cemetery has 28 meticulously maintained gardens, peaceful lakes and many shady trees, including pines and oaks. Throughout the grounds, you'll find regal statues symbolizing the promise of life.
Wide range of burial options
Rest Hills Memorial Park provides a variety of burial and cremation options. Unlike many Little Rock cemeteries, we offer upright monuments in addition to flat markers for traditional burial. For families choosing cremation, we have mausoleum niches as well as cremation benches and boulders throughout the cemetery grounds. We also offer entombment in community mausoleums and private mausoleums.
Our newest cemetery development, aptly named Hilltop, is located in the middle of the cemetery atop a hill. This secluded, peaceful space offers private mausoleums and is among the more picturesque spots in our memorial park, with plenty of room for expansion in years to come.
It is our privilege to serve families in the North Little Rock community. We invite you to visit the cemetery to meet our team and discuss your options. Please contact us if you have an immediate need or would like more information about our services.
The Rest Hills therapy dog
All of our team members at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home and Rest Hills Memorial Park provide families with comfort and support, but there is a member of our team who is especially gifted at making people feel at ease: Hazel. With 4 legs, a perpetually wagging tail and a big heart, Hazel is our certified therapy dog. Hazel joined Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home in September 2016. A rescued shepherd/hound mix, she was trained by prison inmates through the Paws in Prison program. After completing the program, Hazel was adopted by our general manager and went through therapy dog training with Therapy Dogs International.
You can find Hazel at Rest Hills every day, either in our offices or in meetings with families. If you’re interested in meeting Hazel, please tell a team member and we will be glad to introduce you. Whether you’re making funeral arrangements in advance or have an immediate need for our services, Hazel is here for you, providing the kind of unconditional love that only a dog can.
Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home and Rest Hills Memorial Park have been helping people since 1964. Over the years, the funeral home and cemetery have continued to expand to better serve north Little Rock and Sherwood area families.
The Griffin Leggett family of funeral homes and cemeteries
Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home and Rest Hills Memorial Park are part of the Griffin Leggett family of funeral homes and memorial parks, which, in addition to North Little Rock, has locations in Conway, Little Rock and Alexander.
Founded by J. Harry Leggett Sr. and Frank and Paul Griffin in a 2-story apartment building on West Capitol Avenue in Little Rock, the Griffin Leggett funeral business began in 1936. A pioneering team, the men were the 1st in the Little Rock area to promote burial insurance and their funeral home business grew quickly to be the largest in Arkansas.
In 1970, Harry Leggett Jr. took over the family business and began acquiring more funeral homes and cemeteries in the Little Rock area.
