Upon entering our contemporary red-brick facility on Highway 90, you are met with an open, bright and welcoming environment. In 2016, our funeral home underwent an extensive remodel during which we updated nearly all aspects of the building. From fresh paint to plush furniture, new flooring and artwork, an abundance of natural light, beautiful barn doors and more, Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel offers a modern and comfortable space in which to reflect and remember.

Featuring chair seating for approximately 120 guests, our chapel is flexible and spacious. Whether you wish to arrange a traditional chapel setting or a more unique service with table rounds, we can configure the room to best suit your needs. Our chapel also includes a full audio-visual system, three flat screens for personalized digital displays or slideshows, an electric piano and an entire wall of windows.

Should you wish to host a reception for family and guests either before or after the service, our celebration of life room provides the perfect space to gather. From coffee and tea to wine and cheese and even lunch or dinner, we are happy to arrange catering on your behalf.

History

Fisher-Pou Funeral Home was established in Pensacola in 1868 by Felix Bonifay, which dates our funeral home back as the oldest continuously running funeral home in the state of Florida.

In 1987, 101 years after it opened, Fisher-Pou built a satellite chapel on the grounds of Bayview Memorial Park. Ten years later, the funeral home itself relocated to Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel and has remained there since the late 1990s.

Bayview Memorial Park was established in 1947 with only 6,000 burial spaces available at the time. Dora McAlister was the first interment, which occurred on July 2, 1947. Today, Bayview Memorial Park has more than 22,000 loved ones in its care.

Today, both the funeral home and cemetery are members of the Dignity Memorial® network, giving you the warm, familiar attention you expect from a locally operated funeral home and cemetery and the value you deserve.
