Mark D. Polhemus, known by his family and friends as Doug, has been a licensed funeral director for many decades. He is a graduate of American Academy McAllister Institute in New York City, where he graduated cum laude.
“I have always considered my choice in profession a calling. I truly love assisting the families I serve at the most difficult time of their lives, making it a little more bearable,” says Doug.
He is a member of the Presbyterian Church of Toms River, where he has served as an elder and president of the board of trustees. He has been a member of the Toms River Evening Rotary Club since the 1990s and has served as president. He is a past member of the Pine Beach Planning Board, a board member of the Toms River Schools' Hall of Fame and a Toms River Student Loan Fund Board Member.
Doug, his wife and children have lived in the Toms River area all their lives. Doug’s interests include family, woodworking and yard-work.

Compassionate and dedicated, Tim is one of the first people his friends and acquaintances call when they need help and is an integral part of the Toms River community. He is a member and past president of the Toms River Evening Rotary Club and a life member of Toms River Fire Company No. 1.
Born and raised in Toms River, New Jersey, Tim and his wife and their children have lived in the area all their lives. He enjoys spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and loves vacationing in Florida.
Mary Schwartz graduated from Mercer County College Mortuary School and has been a funeral director for more than 3 decades. She has provided peace and comfort to many families in the Toms River community and is specialized in advanced planning. She is very dedicated to the families she serves and strives, with compassion, to make a difference.
Mary is a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Whiting and has volunteered for Deborah Hospital Foundation and other community groups. Mary and her husband live in Whiting and are the parents of 3 grown children and have a wonderful grandson.
