Maureen realized at a young age that she wanted to be a funeral director. In high school she enrolled in a co-op program through a small town funeral home in Simcoe, Ontario. Her time there confirmed that funeral service was her "calling." Maureen graduated from Humber College with a diploma in funeral service education in 1998 and began her apprenticeship with Jerrett Funeral Homes. In 1999 she became a licensed funeral director serving with Jerrett Funeral Homes at St. Clair Chapel. In 2014 Maureen assumed the role of managing funeral director. Maureen loves being part of the team and says that, "Jerrett – St. Clair is a big city funeral home, with a small town atmosphere." Over many years Maureen has had the honour and privilege to serve families during their time of need. She has grown and changed as a funeral director, but her compassion for the families she serves has remained the same. Maureen treats each family as if they were her own, making them feel comfortable and at ease.
