Protect those you love

People expect to plan ahead for big purchases like weddings, homes, cars, education, vacations. A funeral or cremation should be no different. You give your family peace of mind and keep them from unnecessary financial and emotional burdens when you have a plan in place.

Wilson Group funeral homes are committed to providing compassionate, personalized funeral, cremation and memorial planning to help families honor and celebrate the lives of their loved ones. With 22 locations in seven states, we’re proud of our deep roots in the communities where we live and serve.

Wilson Group funeral homes care for your family

The Wilson Group includes funeral homes and cemeteries in Georgia, Ohio, Indiana, California, Texas, Tennessee and Louisiana. Most of our locations were acquired over time within their diverse Black communities by Mr. Gerald Wilson, our namesake founder. In 2017, the Wilson Group joined the Dignity Memorial® family.

Each of our locations maintains a tradition of service excellence and caring within its community. Each specializes in supporting the funeral traditions important to the families who choose us. Our associates are your friends and neighbors. They offer a listening ear, professional guidance and attention to detail that is second to none. Your family’s wish is our privilege.

Your culture and traditions are important to us

When you experience a loss, many things go through your mind. One of the many questions you may ask yourself is, how can we celebrate this special person in a way that reflects their unique place in the world? That's where we come in.

We have beautiful venues for every type of service, from an intimate gathering to a grand celebration. Every event we plan includes personalized music, a display of cherished personal items and a carefully crafted message that helps tell the story of your loved one. We can also help your family choose a venue, pick a theme and decide on flowers. Then we will decorate, order keepsakes and programs, and create a tribute video. Our catering partners can provide everything you need for a repast. Choose a breakfast buffet, a fried chicken brunch or lunch, passed hors d'ouevres or a sit-down seafood dinner. We take care of the food and drinks, as well as the setup and cleanup. That way, you can spend your time remembering and sharing with family and friends.

The Wilson Group also offers a line of funeral programs, prayer cards, memorial folders and flyers that can each be personalized with a theme, text and photos. We’re experienced in planning faith-based and nonreligious funerals, cremation memorials, celebrations of life and gravesite services that create indelible memories.

      Community involvement keeps us connected

Whether it’s handing out turkeys at Thanksgiving or volunteering with the Boys & Girls Clubs, we look for opportunities to give back. Our community service programs focus on understanding and supporting the diverse cultures and groups within each of our cities or towns. We work to support and empower marginalized groups through partnerships with churches, businesses and nonprofit organizations. You will often find us out and about at events such as Juneteenth celebrations, festivals and parades.
