Marie,
I'm not sure that you remember me but we worked at Inland Container years ago here in Indy, and I also met your brother Father Paul at a reconciliation service at St. Jude church on the south side years ago.
I am so sorry to see and learn of your fathers passing. While I never met your father, I feel that I know him in a sense by having met you and Father Paul!
Take comfort in the thought that Michael's legacy and spirit lives in all of your family, and that he is now meeting new strangers (and soon to be friends), and will continue to light up new rooms! You and Father Paul share that those same generous traits.
God bless you and be with you, and all of your family!

Pauline & Family: The first time I met Mike was when I worked for George Corey @ Corey’s Pharmacy! He was working for Jim Traub(my husband JJ’S cousin) and he and George would talk shop! Later when I worked for Pat Logan M.D., he would come into the office for appointments, along with yourself Pauline! Mike was such a nice man as he was genuinely interested in how you were,
Where I grew up, my children, and my interests! He was full of life and always had a smile on his face! I always looked forward to Mike and your next appointments Pauline, as Mike would always
brighten my day! Thank you both for your friendship and I’m sure that Mike will be swapping stories with George Corey up in heaven! God Bless your family and may Mike Rest In Peace!

Dear Aunt Pauline and Cousins,
Very sad to hear about Uncle Mike's passing. I was very glad that I made the trip to Indy in August for the reunion. When Uncle Mike arrived, everyone flocked to the door to see him. It was great to see him smile and laugh. Although I won't be able to be there for the services, just know that all of my love and prayers are with you all.
Look out Heaven, HERE COMES UNCLE MIKE!
Love to all.

Dear Pauline and family, I have been blessed to reside in your home on Downey. It was wonderful to make a connection with you in the transfer of ownership of 1218.
Every day I awake knowing that a family loved and lived here. I commit myself everyday to continue to fill this house full of love and life. It is bittersweet for us left behind: Mr. Shikany is now in the glory of God but we are left behind and we miss him. God bless you; God keep you; God give you peace.

Mike and Pauline and Fr. Paul have always had a very special place in our hearts. My Mike has told me so many times about Mike sitting on his parents' front porch with Mike's Dad, Ted, every night after dinner. Mike's family lived right across the street on Downey from Mike and Pauline. Mike was such a fun-loving and kind friend to all. The East side of Indy was so blessed to have you, Mike, as their Mayor!
