A comfortable, compassionate funeral home
The caring funeral directors and support team at Forest Lawn West Funeral & Cremation Service understand the burden of planning after a loved one's death. We keep this in mind as we welcome families to tour our chapel, receiving rooms and hospitality room, which houses a full kitchen available for catering and meals before or after services.
In addition to the spacious chapel, our library features a cozy fireplace for families who wish to gather in our comfortable private arrangement rooms. We provide a large, comfortable gathering room with a large bay window, sofa and chairs.
These features allow us to provide space for families and friends to receive comfort and begin the path to healing. It's our hope to create a warm atmosphere where you can feel peace during your time of need.
Forest Lawn West Cemetery
Forest Lawn West Cemetery in Charlotte encompasses more than100 acres of rolling hills and wooded areas, and serves as a hallowed space where loved ones rest. Featuring a beautiful pastoral setting of upright monuments, lawn crypt sections and flush bronze memorials, our cemetery is a calming environment for families and friends to find meaningful reflection.
For families who prefer cremation, distinguished mausoleums and private estates are also available. Our property includes 5 outdoor mausoleums.
We honor veterans
At Forest Lawn West Funeral & Cremation Service and Forest Lawn West Cemetery, we understand the unique needs of America’s veterans and their families. As a Level Two Founding Community Partner with We Honor Veterans, our staff is knowledgeable in the benefits available to veterans and their families. With respect, integrity and dignity, we will walk you through the steps of creating a veteran's memorial service that truly honors the life and sacrifice of your loved one.
Although space is available throughout the cemetery for veterans, we also have a designated veterans section with a large memorial honoring our nation's servicemen and servicewomen. It's our honor to help military families and veterans plan a funeral or memorial service that celebrates a life of dignified service.
