Monte Vista Memorial Park—also called Monte Vista Burial Park and Monte Vista Cemetery at one time or another—has served Johnson City, Tennessee, for more than a century. The cemetery began in 1892 as Buena Vista Cemetery. Through decades of care and service, it became a fixture in the Johnson City community. The cemetery is among the larger perpetual care cemeteries in the area, which also includes the cities of Elizabethton, Kingsport and Bristol.
Beautifully landscaped cemetery grounds
With a history spanning more than 120 years, our cemetery property is the final resting place for many area founders, city leaders and notable Tennessee residents. Monte Vista Memorial Park offers meticulously maintained, peaceful gardens with beautiful flush bronze memorials and stately upright granite and marble memorials. We also offer above-ground private mausoleums, a large community mausoleum with a memorial chapel, niches, cremation benches and columbaria.
