OBITUARY
Roger Lawrence Dwyer
October 11, 1939 – March 15, 2023

Roger Dwyer, 83, departed this world March 15th, 2023. He was the loving husband to Kathie Dwyer for 37 years.
Born on October 11, 1939, in Lebanon Ohio, he was the son of Lawrence Dwyer and Lillian Knox Dwyer. Roger served a full career in the military joining the Marines at the age of 17 and serving for 3 years before joining the Army where he served for 21 years. Throughout his career he was honored with two Army Commendation medals, National Defense Service, Vietnam Service, Good Conduct, Republic of Vietnam commendation, and the Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation. He retired from the Army in 1981 as a Captain. After retiring, he worked at Burlington Industries and Qualicaps in the maintenance department.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathie; daughters Kelly Harville (John) and Lori Langreck (Keith); sons Steve Rose (Jen) and Todd Rose; daughter-in-law Paula Dwyer; grandchildren Matthew Stevens (Jason), Brian Stevens (Rachel), Lauren Moore (Drew), Lindsey Rose-Scott (TJ), TJ Rose, Johnathan Harville, Bryson Rose, Lexi Rose, and Amanda Goodman (Jared); great-grandchildren Caden Brown, Cameron Brown, Gracelyn Moore, Skyler Hubbard, Liam Holding, Everleigh Stevens, and Ezekiel Stevens; brothers Ralph Dwyer (Joyce) and Paul Dwyer (Marty), sister Chrystal Harsha (Ron), and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Kevin Dwyer, brother Russell Dwyer, and sister Norma Baird.
A special thank you to the many nurses and doctors at Moses Cone Health Center and Beacon Place for their dedicated care of our loved one.
A celebration of life will be at 2 PM, April 8, 2023 at Franklinville Wesleyan Church, 225 Allred Street, Franklinville, NC 27248.
