

Out of high school, Jimmy worked with heavy equipment in Austin before attending Farrier School. He Shod horses for the public for a few years before becoming a police officer. He started out as a patrol officer for Burnet Sheriff’s Department, went on to be an investigator with Burnet County and then on to Llano County where he retired from Law Enforcement after 25 years of public service. After retirement, he worked on Burnet County Precent 1 Road and Bridge Crew for 10 years.
Jimmy was outdoor enthusiast who loved fast cars and crazy women. He found true happiness when he married the love of his life, Laurie. Together they recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on July 4.
He was preceded in death by his parents Doyle and Charlotte, and his younger brother, Randy.
In keeping with his strict wishes, Jimmy will be cremated and there will be no formal public service.
