Reza Amirhakimi peacefully passed away on Sunday January 20th, 2019 surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was a loving husband to Mitra Amirhakimi, a loving father to Ariana and Armita, a loving brother to Kathy Amirhakimi, and a caring friend to many.
Reza was raised and nurtured in a family of loving parents and professional doctors, who died when he was young. He was very proud of his roots and determined to continue their dream. He came to the United States at the age of 16 and worked hard to build a life here. He married the love of his life, Mitra, over 33 years ago, with whom they have two daughters. He took extreme pride in his daughters and was a supportive father, awesome friend and a caring companion. In addition to his wife and daughters, Reza is survived by his loving sister Kathy Amirhakimi, who he loved dearly. He also left behind his favorite pet dog Louis that to this date is still expecting him to come home.
Reza was not only an expert in the field of civil engineering, he was also a historian, who was very much interested in world history and politics. He loved to travel and embraced different cultures. He had a positive view to life and handled every difficult situation with humor. He also encouraged his daughters to love education and strive for the best in whichever path they chose.
Reza was smart, talented, and had an amazing personality. He loved higher education and achieved Masters’ degrees in Engineering Management, Civil Engineering, and Computer Science. After many years of hard work and dedication, he reached his dream by establishing his civil engineering firm with his trusted friends as partners. Throughout his life, Reza encouraged his family and friends to reach their dreams and helped and mentored many to do the same.
Reza will be dearly missed by his family, loved ones, and everyone he connected with throughout his life.
