Theresa Marie Brady

Theresa M. Brady, LCHS, born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, died in Heathrow, FL on July 3, 2026, in her 91st year. Theresa resided in Smithtown, NY, La Cañada Flintridge, CA, and South Natick, MA. Married for 47 years to her beloved Jack, who predeceased her.

She is survived by her five children, Marie, Edward, Margaret, John Jr., and Stephen; her eight grandchildren, Collin, Jake, Riley, Cameron Katie, Stephen, Frankie, and Jack III; and great-granddaughter, Rowyn.

Theresa was awarded the CARITAS Medal in 1978 by Bishop John McGann of the Diocese of Rockville Centre for volunteer services to Catholic Charities. In 1982, Pope Paul VI appointed her Lady of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem for meritorious achievement in the service of the church. She was raised to Lady Commander of the Order in 1996.

With her husband, Jack, she co-chaired the 1978 Bishop's Appeal for Suffolk County, NY and raised over five million dollars.

Theresa was known primarily for her warmth, compassion, love of children, and quiet but unwavering faith in God and His Mother. Her accomplishments in creative, artistic and tasteful aspects of gastronomy were exceeded only by a flair for striking personal couture and an innate sense for color and materials in interior decor. She exulted in the gift of life and lightened every situation with her prevailing optimism. She will be sorely missed for her companionship, talents, and wisdom. May Theresa rest in Peace of the Lord with her beloved Jack.

Visitation will be held at Baldwin-Fairchild East Altamonte, 994 E Altamonte Dr, Altamonte Springs, Florida 32701, on July 9, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Annunciation Catholic Church, 1020 Montgomery Rd, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714, US, on July 10, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org/donate) in Theresa's name.
