

Al graduated from West Valley High School in 1951. Joined the Navy in 1953 until July of 1955. In the Navy he studied electronics for 7 months. His duties were guiding missiles and radar testing in San Diego. Al was a hardworking and loving, dad, husband, brother, uncle, grandpa, and great-grandpa.
Al worked many jobs, one of which was at the post office, he also drove a truck for Fox Milling and at the time worked at BNRR as a brakeman. His final job with BNRR was as a switchman. Because of both positions he was considered a Trainman.
Al enjoyed camping during the summer months and adventured to many lakes in the Pacific Northwest. Al would launch his boat where the family would enjoy water skiing and tubing. Al's greatest joy was fishing on Saturday mornings. (Boy did he catch some beauties!) Al loved traveling in the U.S. He took a trip to Italy in 1994 with the Delay cousins.
Al was preceded in death by his parents Luis and Desiderata Simioni, his brother Celio, sister Mary Jane, nephew Mike, and granddaughter Angela.
Al leaves behind a son, Terry (Maureen), 5 daughters, Jeanie, Debbie, Vicki (David), Annette (Dan), and Patricia (Patti), nieces Theresa and Betty, 15 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Al was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
A Funeral Service will be held at Hazen & Jaeger Valley Funeral Home, 1306 N Pines Rd, Spokane Valley, WA 99206, US, on July 25, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
A Graveside Service for Alphonso Simioni will follow at St Joseph's Cemetery, 17825 E Trent Ave, Spokane Valley, WA 99216, US, on July 25, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
