Sharin "Joy" Cage

Sharin “Joy” Cage, 51, of Evansville passed away Wednesday March 15, 2023. She was born May 27, 1971 in Bedford, IN to James and Wanda (Vowell) Cage. Joy was active with Willie’s Bowling League and the Special Olympics. She was a member of Oakhill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, James Cage, Sr. Joy is survived her mother, Wanda Cage; sisters, Dorothy Perry (John) and Suzanne Wiandt (Ron); brother, Jamie Cage (Debra); and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday March 17, 2023 at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Rev. Alan Scott, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends and family may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff at Columbia Nursing Center, Deaconess Midtown Step-Down Unit, and Linda E. White Hospice House for their care and kindness.
